Konica Minolta CS-DG1000 Camera Case For Dimage Z3 / Z10
Customer Reviews: Average Rating: 4.5/5
Dimage Z3: Rating: 5/5
I have parkinsons Disease and using a camera was very much hit and miss - more miss with blurred photos. This camera does the business - no more blurred photos. It locks the subject with a half press of the shutter button then fully depress and hey presto a perfect photo - every time. Not as compact as some other camers but makes up for that with the anti-shake software. 5 star
Well designed and practical camera: Rating: 4/5
Like many others I spent ages deciding on which digital camera to buy. In the end I settled on the z3 mainly due its stylish design and superb zoom range. I have not been disappointed. The camera is capable of taking some fantasic photographs, particularly in macro mode, and the movie function is none to shabby either (although very memory hungry - I recommend a 512mb card minimum, ideally a 1gb which gives around 15 minutes shooting at top quality and over an hour in standard mode.

I was reluctant to buy the camera as I had heard that the picture quality is often quite fuzzy. This may be the case is a very few awkward situations, but using the highest quality picture mode and increasing the sharpness setting eliminates any issues of clarity 99% of the time.

The only reason why I am giving it four stars is it can be made even better! Shooting in low light conditions can sometimes be troublesome and the LCD is a little on the small size (the latter has been rectified on the more recent z5 and z6 models).

Other than that, this is a great little camera at a great price. You wont find many models which offer this many features (I couldn't) - good zoom range, fast focusing, good battery life (AA batteries as well - no horrible expensive lithium ion cell).

Dimage Z3 from A-level Photography Student: Rating: 5/5
After deciding to branch out to digital photography for my studies, i came across the Z3, which is fantastic for the price. The 12x zoom is unrivalled in this price range and the anti-shake feature is fantastic for fast-action photos such as sports photography.
The design is stylish and functional, as it fits smoothly into your hands, although the SD card holder does seem a little flimsy, but with due care it is fine.
Although the LCD screen is a little small, both this and the viewfinder are of good quality and easy to see in bright light. I am also a big fan of using AA batteries, as they can be easily replaced. I like to use rechargeable ones, as having a few spare are perfect for a long day out.
Overall, i think that this camera is perfect for anyone wanting a quality camera without splashing the cash, and is easy to use with successful results.
Great super zoom compact: Rating: 5/5
A great fast camera! just adding that raynox do some telephoto and macro lenses. check out http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/digital/z3/index.htm but ull need a 52mm adaptor ring.

oh and the file sizes when using the movie mode are very high. i use a 1Gb card and can only get 15 mins. the video quality is very good but focusing can be slow when 'filming'. but its a great camera and u can use almost all aspects of the camera in either auto or manual. the 'P' function is great and u can customise the flash button to do whatever you want. e.g. changing colour mode, drive mode, focus mode, white balance, sensitivity or even flash mode!

great cam, best in class

Not Bad but could be better: Rating: 4/5
I bought this camera after doing a lot of research and reading the reviews here at Amazon, I am a keen photographer having had a Canon AV1 Slr for many years and I decided it was time to go Digital. I was attracted by the 12x Zoom, 4.1 Mp and the reputation of Konica Minolta, but the best selling point I think is the anti-shake coupled with the 12x Zoom which is not offered on many Cameras, and I couldn't find it on any others in this price range.

I have used the camera for close up nature photography and the results are absolutely stunning in auto and manual mode and particularly with the super macro feature, not a grain in site!

On Holiday in the French Alps Skiing, portrait and landscape photo's came out very well, even some early evening shots by sitting the camera on the balcony ledge and auto long exposure gave some very good shots.

Pro's:
12x Zoom
4.1 Mp
Anti-shake
Grip
Layout & easily reachable function buttons
Easy connectivity to PC for file transfer (other types of files i.e. MP3 can be stored on the SD memory card)
Easy connectivity to Television to review the day's photo's for an audience
Excellent Auto focus and a ability to focus on a subject then move the Camera and take the shot still in the same focal length
Fast Zoom
Silent Zoom in Movie mode
Excellent battery life (with 2.0 mAh batteries)

Con's:
Very disappointing array of accessories (Wide angle converter, Bag and power supply)
Very expensive Power supply (£45)
Unable to monitor camera shot from the PC, but you can from a TV?? Why have the cheaper Z1 & Z2's got this function but not Z3??
No remote ability (this is particularly annoying when trying to capture wildlife in the garden)
Small screen (which has been remedied on the Z5)
Movie mode has the camera really struggling to auto focus
Bulky (but necessary for the amount of features and the size/amount of batteries)

Overall a very good all round camera for the keen but not Pro photographer, I am not sure if Konica Minolta view these reviews but if they do, please consider the PC function and the Remote control Function this would certainly make me consider upgrading and it would be another Konica Minolta product.
