I needed an underwater camera for my holiday at short notice and this was the cheapest I could find. As an all round camera its not too bad, got some very good daytime pics, however the camera was no use during the night, as the flash was very temperamental. As un underwater camera it works very well especially the video. I would recommend this camera primarily as a cheap underwater camera, which could also back up as an everyday camera if required.

Used this on a recent trip, great for snorkeling, and being digital, only need to print the best of the pictures. Would recommend rechargable batteries and a good memory card so that lots of pictures can be taken, just sorry that I forgot to try out the video while I was there, maybe next time. Very good value for money and works fine for pictures out of the water too.

Great underwater camera, we just returned from Egypt and the pictures we took using this camera are amazing very clear also we used it out of the water during the day still in the case and got really good pictures, for the price i would recomend this camera to anyone especially when bought with the 2gb memory card, we could have took over 1000 photos.

I bought this specifically for its underwater capability for the family holiday to the Caribbean where there is great snorkling. With 1G memory card it stores 500+ photos, much better then previously used underwater disposable cameras. Took some great photos and now have lots of good memories, for the price it cant be beaten. You cant loose it, as it floats to the top if you let it go. Only downside is that as its packaged for underwater, it would be useful if the white balance had an underwater setting, but that can be overcome using photo editing software.

Bought this camera as a cheap waterproof camera for a trip to the Red Sea. First time using the camera I took it Scuba Diving just to see how it worked. Found the waterproof case to be very watertight down to 18m but the camera would not work below about 5m as the pressure simply pushed all the buttons on the camera at once resulting in it scrolling through all the pictures on the camera but not letting me take any pictures. Later on I used the camera whilst snorkeling and found it very easy to use as you simply point it in the general direction and push the shutter button. Pictures were fairly sharp (given the conditions) but the colours were a little disappointing. The camera case was very robust and took some rough treatment without any problems.
Given the price, I consider the camera to be good value for money as a point and shoot underwater camera for snorkeling or for messing about on the beach or by the pool, a camera that can be given to the kids to use without worrying how they might treat it. |
