My wife and I pre-booked, 9 months before, a trip to Antarctica and S America in a cruise ship. I have an IXUS 70, but I bought a new IXUS95 specially for the trip - I did try it out! I can't tell you how delighted we are with the resulting photos captured by my Canon IXUS95 ......... for such a tiny, handy camera, which I carried with me in my trouser side pocket ALL THE TIME, its truly miraculous as far as I'm concerned.
There were several people on board wielding huge lensed SLR monsters ........ great for those special photos, but the handiness of the tiny IXUS95 meant it was always with me when a photo opportunity arose .......... and to get such amazing quality from something so tiny and handy is totally knock-out! So, its fair to say that the Antarctic experience was one of the best and most memorable of our entire lives .......... and its thanks to Canon's tiny camera that we have a wonderful permanent archive of it all. The 10m pixels is not too big to slow the processor, so even taking LARGE hi res pictures, the camera is quickly ready for next picture. Superb photostitch for great panoramas included in the cd software. Camera is great also in low light ....... beautiful indoors pics without flash. Battery lasts all day. | Really bad audio compared to my last camera which was a Pentax but am really happy with the picture quality and the camera is tiny so easy to take anywhere. Battery lasted about 5 days using it every day. | | brilliant wee camera: Rating: 5/5 |

As with everything I buy from Amazon, my new camera arrived very quickly and although I haven't had time to read all the instructions and am still finding my way round it, I am very pleased up to now and it has been in constant use from the minute it was delivered.

Brought 2 of these cameras 1 for myself replaceing my old camera the size of a house brick and the other for my wife to replace her steam powered one that took so long to use.
